Separation equipment

A test separator and an oil/gas separator with water knockout are applied to separate original feed into phases. The equipment can have internals of special purpose, internal and external anti-corrosion coating, heat insulation and electrical tracing, integrated heat exchangers, maintenance platforms, lighting, piping, block, control and safety valves, instrumentation.

сепарационное оборудованиеA test separator and an oil/gas separator with water knockout is a horizontal cylindrical vessel with a volume of 200 m3 equipped with process nozzles, baffles made of expanded steel sheets, a defoaming pack, a weir and demisters for gas treatment. A gas/liquid mixture is injected to the separator through a nozzle equipped with a gas/liquid mixture intake device, where non-associated gas is separated. The separated gas is collected in the upper part of the vessel, it goes through a demister and out through a gas outlet nozzle. Having passed a distribution and hydrodynamic coalescence device, liquid is uniformly distributed along the whole section of the vessel an is separated into oil and water due to different specific weights. The separated water is collected in the lower part of the equipment, from where it is discharged through a water outlet nozzle. The interphase level is determined using a level gage and is maintained using a control valve by changing the amount of the discharged water.

The total liquid level in the equipment is maintained by a weir. Oil comes through the weir, it is collected in the lower part of the oil collection chamber, from where it gets to the suction of the pump. The level of oil in the chamber is determined using a level gage and is automatically maintained within the pre-set range using a control valve installed downstream of the oil metering station. Being a pressure vessel, the separator is equipped with instruments, block and safety valves.
